Lia's training specialized in Iyengar Yoga, an alignment based practice. She enjoys teaching fun and creative Vinyasa Flow classes that invigorate the mind body and spirit!! She passionately believes it is the connection with our body and mind through the poses and pranayama that bring more of an awareness to ourselves and help us discover who we truly are. This time on our mat is meant open us up to release negative emotions and energy so that we may create space for positivity, light, love and peace in our hearts! Her hope in opening CMY, was to create a sacred space to share this wonderful gift of yoga with all that enter the studio!
April is a Cape May local with a certification in Hatha yoga. April uses her yoga practice as a tool in transforming her mind, body, and soul. Yoga practice and meditation has helped April expand her art and turn dreams into reality. Besides teaching yoga, April is an internationally published model and actress whose made appearances in music videos, live radio, and on CBS's The Talk as a social media speaker.
Brian Lee is a 25 year old Cape May County native who approaches every endeavor with an singular brand of passion and commitment. He has been developing his own personal practice since the age of 16, over which time he has investigated many different styles of yoga and had the pleasure to learn under the guidance of many teachers throughout South Jersey and in his adopted second hometown, Asheville, NC. In the winter of 2015, he completed a 300 Hour certification program through Golden Buddha Yoga, with a mixed study platform including vinyasa, yin, hatha, kundalini, and various mindfulness/meditation practices. His skills reflect his ever-evolving interests, such Thai yoga, massage, sound healing, and most of all, his wanderlust and thirst for life; constantly ebbing and flowing through travel, musical expression and collaboration, and putting extra hot sauce on tacos that definitely didn’t need it.
I discovered yoga back in 2008 while living in Southern California and found a true passion for Vinyasa Yoga. My love for yoga created a desire to deepen my yoga experience and practice which led me to obtain my 200 RYT Certification in San Diego, California in 2016.
My classes are aimed at empowering others to move with intention, and connect one breath one movement. I'm grateful to share my love for yoga and passion for connecting body, mind and spirit with my students. There is so much to discover of ourselves through this practice, and the journey there is what drives me to teach.
Trisha recently finished her 200 hour training in Baptiste Yoga. She specializes in challenging flows that allow you to release all stress through a moving meditation as you connect with your breath! Her philosophy on living in the moment coupled with her take no shit jersey style will have you melting into your mat with an open heart after one of her strong flow classes!
Penelope Cake has taught creative movement to children for 35 years, primarily in NYC schools and recreation programs. She has developed a comprehensive program that encourages children to use the full capacity of their physical and creative abilities through specially designed songs, movements and games. Since moving to Cape May 4 years ago, she has taught summer arts camp through the Center for Community Arts and other local venues.
